The Friends of Mine Festival Manchester

So it’s getting to that time of year when you should be forgetting the colder months and starting to plan summer 2011! For me choosing the right festivals is necessity and this year I’m looking a bit closer to home for my first camping, music and beverage fuelled weekend.

Camping in Manchester? No I’m not planning on pitching a tent in Piccadilly gardens for Hungry Pigeon festival, I’ll be heading 14 miles south of Manchester to Capesthorne Hall for the first ever Friends of Mine outdoor festival. With the likes of The Charlatans, Buzzcocks, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, The Whip and Frazer King gracing the stage to name a few top artists, there will also be stand-up comedy, the finest local food and drink, vintage markets, fairground rides and loads more…

Bigged as potentially the U.K’s most beautiful Festival sites you’d be daft not consider this festival, especially if you’re a music loving manc like me. Not forgetting it’s only a 25 minute choo choo train trip from Piccadilly if you don’t fancy the drive!

The Friends of Mine Festival will be taking place on 20th, 21st, 22nd May and an Adult 3 Day Ticket (including camping) will set you back £89.50 per person.

If you like the sound of it check out the full lineup, venue and all that other business on the FOM website.
